California Condor Release
Attendant: Prepared release site for first release of
California Condors into northern Arizona. Monitored the
health and behavior of released Condors, utilizing radio
telemetry skills and behavioral observations. Exercised
diplomacy when confronted with the politics of the Endangered
Species Act. Additional duties included construction and
maintenance of Condor, eagle and falcon propagation facilities.

Attendant: Strengthened radio telemetry skills tracking
17 Aplomado
Falcons at a release site in south Texas. Assisted
in the observation of the first breeding pair of Aplomado
Falcons in the United States since 1952. |

Technician: Conducted wetland demarcation, vernal pool
certification, wildlife inventories and surveys for state
and federally listed species. Conducted a mark-recapture
experiment to evaluate the population densities of
an endangered salamander. |
